Boathouse District Movie Night Debuts

There have been many new developments in the Boathouse District over the past few months and a very exciting new addition makes its debut tonight.  A state-of-the-art project kiosk is now complete between the Devon Boathouse and the Chesapeake Finish Line Tower.  The kiosk will project movies on the side of both buildings providing for a very unique outdoor movie-going experience - right on the river's edge.  Built in speakers, a fire pit, and a system that also feeds the movie inside the buildings is part of the movie kiosk project for the Boathouse District.

The movie nights at the Boathouse District are family friendly and ample seating is available - just bring a blanket or a lawn chair!  Tonight's feature is "Dolphin Tale" and begins at 8:00pm.  Popcorn and other concessions will be available in the Welcome Center of the Chesapeake Finish Line Tower.

The Boathouse District summer movie nights are free to the public.

November 11 is KaBoom build day at the Boathouse District. Volunteers and OKC Boathouse Foundation staff worked in two pre-build days to prepare the site for 200 volunteers to erect the playground on Saturday. The playground is a first phase in several new Boathouse District projects/attractions in planning stages.
